We are delighted that the British Cycling Go-Ride programme was at the 2016 Rally! And they’ll be back in 2017…
2017 details are to be confirmed, but in 2016 cycling skills sessions for young riders ran:
- 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday 18th June
- 1 PM to 4 PM on Sunday 19th June
Go-Ride is British Cycling’s development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills.
“At our demonstration event during York Rally we will be delivering coaching for young people and providing the opportunity to have a go at our skills course and take part in mini races to test their skills and develop their bike riding.”
The Go-Ride area will be open to all up to age 16. Just turn up with a bike and a helmet if you have one, but we will be able to lend out helmets. You’ll also need a parent to sign the consent form.
