Provisional results: these are available now on the BC website.

Update Sunday evening: Many thanks to all who rode the Rally Sportive today, and also to all the volunteers. marshals and everyone who helped with the catering! Results/times will follow ASAP , but for now here are the (unedited) pictures taken at Low Mill. Please email publicity@yorkrally.org with the picture number(s) if you would like a higher resolution copy of any of them (no charge 🙂 ) or if you would like any image you’re in removed.

(Apologies that the first 95 are a little hazy, before I noticed the lens needed a clean! I’ll be able to restore some contrast in Photoshop…)

Two rides into the beautiful North York Moors: 140 km & 100 km

On the 29th April 2017, two routes take riders from the start point in Wigginton (just north of York) high into the beautiful North York Moors. Enter online now.

  • York Rally Grande Classic Dunnie 140k
    Total ascent: 1687 m.
Actual distance 133 km (83 miles)

    Route downloads: GPX or KML
    Route online at MapMyRide: here
Printed map PDF: here (8Mb) (hard copies will be provided to riders on the day)
We’ve made some small alterations to this route since last year – most notably at the very far end of the course around Danby, also meaning that the Danby feeding station is in a new location for 2018. Feeding stations are at the A170 crossing (approx 32 km / 20 miles), Low Mill (approx 44km / 28 miles), Danby (new location, at approx 64km / 40 miles) and with the main food stop at Marton (at 93 km / 58 miles).

  • York Rally Grande Classic Dunnie 140k:
Alternative route avoiding Rosedale Chimney Bank
    Total ascent: 1656 m.
Actual distance 140 km (87 miles)

This option diverts for a section of the return leg to avoid the ridiculously steep Rosedale Chimney Bank – for some riders, doing it once may be more than enough! Please note that the route of the diversion has been changed for the 2018 Sportive:
    Route downloads: GPX or KML
    Route online at MapMyRide: here
Printed map PDF: here (8Mb) (hard copies will be provided to riders on the day)

  • York Rally Classic Dunnie:
    Total ascent: 959 m.
Actual distance 101 km (63 miles)

The 100k route diverges from the longer rides just after the Low Mill feeding station, re-joining before the main food stop at Marton.
    Route downloads: GPX or KML
    Route online at MapMyRide: here
Printed map PDF: here (4Mb) (hard copies will be provided to riders on the day)
This route is unchanged since last year’s Sportive.

Enter now! Come on, ride the Dunnie!
