The cycle jumble at the York Cycle Festival is where you can sell your spare parts, donate items to help boost the event’s funding, or seek out a bargain.
A very limited number of tables are available, so we strongly recommend early booking.

For buyers
The sale opening times are as follows:
Saturday 21st June:
2pm to 6 pm
Sunday 22rd June:
10am to 2pm
Entry is free with a show programme (which is priced at £2, available at the Rally entrance, at the Info Hub, or on the door. Entry is free for children under 16. Otherwise, entry will cost £1.
For sellers
A table costs £15 (one day) or £25 (same table both days) with non-refundable advance booking.
Any additional donation when you book a table is most welcome, and we also invite sellers to become Friends of York Cycle Festival if you are not already a member.
- Please note this sale is for secondhand goods only – absolutely no new items please. New old stock is acceptable. And please note that no complete bikes are permitted in the marquee, to ensure that we can make the most of the limited space. However, an area immediately outside the marquee will be roped-off for the unsupervised sale of complete cycles, so be sure to bring a lock and a card with your contact details if you wish to use this.
- Also, we know that a number of people would like to sell their items throughout the event, rather than just in the limited time of the cycle jumble. Anyone wishing to sell items on an ongoing basis during the Festival is invited to contact our Trade Co-Ordinator – for 2025 outdoor trade stands are free of charge if you book any campsite pitch, or just £50 if you do not (and you can sell new items, too, if you wish). - The marquee will be open for setting up your tables from 12 noon on Saturday and from 9am on Sunday. When you arrive on site, please mention to the marshalls on the entrance that you are a cycle jumble seller and you will be directed up to park near the marquee where the sale takes place. Please go dead slow on the site.
- In 2025 all loading/unloading will again be from the rear of the marquee: no vehicles are permitted in the central event area. Parking for unloading and loading will be clearly signed and marshalled: please do not attempt to park anywhere else.

Donations
Bring your spare kit and help raise funds for the York Cycle Rally & Festival. We’ll have a table set aside for donated cycling gear, which will be sold to raise funds for the event. Any sellable parts and accessories, good condition clothing and even complete bikes are very welcome. All funds raised will go to supporting the event, and any items left unsold will be donated to cycling related charities or organisations wherever possible.

The cycle jumble at the York Rally was for many years traditionally known as the “Saddlebag Sale”. With the advent of the York Cycle Festival, we’ve now retired the name to help the jumble attract a new generation of buyers and sellers.
