It’s time for another update on the 2026 Yorkshire Cycle Festival, including the York Rally, at its new home at Driffield Showground on the 12-14 June 2026.

Campsite bookings at the new venue are already open – with earlybird prices only until the end of January! Please book now if you can for the lowest prices and to help our planning!
Many of the all-volunteer organising team visited the new venue in December, and we’re now even more confident that Driffield will be a great new venue for our event. The visit helped greatly with our planning, and we’re now working hard to finalise the site layout and arrangements for all of the many traditional aspects of the event.
Here’s some of the main points that are now clear after our visit:
- The Driffield Showground team is super constructive and welcoming – they really want to make it a success, and we were very impressed with their commitment and organisation.
- There are excellent indoor spaces for talks, the Info Hub and bar/evening entertainment.
- There are more than ample toilets and showers, in three main blocks, each with at least one accessible toilet. There is also an accessible shower. There are plenty of drinking water taps on site too, and two Elsan disposal points. There is even a pot wash area with hot water!
- The site has good electrical outlets for caterers etc, so we should be able to avoid the use of noisy generators, but it will not be possible to provide electrical hook-ups for campsite pitches.
- We are optimistic that we will be able (at last!) to provide an e-bike battery charging facility which will comply with insurance requirements – we will confirm ASAP.
- Many of our loyal caterers will be back in 2026, including the Yorkshire Bus Bar and the “Catering Perfection” burger van.
Campsite bookings are now open. In light of the late opening of campsite bookings, we have extended the earlybird booking period (with the lowest possible prices) until the end of January – which is coming up fast! Please do book now if you can!
