Children are very welcome at the York Cycle Rally & Festival – there is a safe family atmosphere and plenty to see and do! And we run several specific activities for younger visitors:
- There will be colouring in available at the Info Hub, free of charge, throughout the event!
- And on Saturday and Sunday, Focus Rides will be there with spectaular airbag jumps and balance bike racing… (there will be a small cost to participate – see below)
- And on the Sunday, Apex Cycle Coaching will offer skills sessions for U16s, as below! (there will be a small cost to participate – see below)
Please note that Both Focus Rides and Apex Cycle Coaching will need to make a small charge for their activities, to cover costs and insurance.

Kids MTB skills coaching
Mark and Amanda of Apex Cycle Coaching are qualified British Cycling Level 2 coaches for Mountain Bike, Cyclocross and Road/TT. They provide coaching for Sheffield’s Steel City Rippers, Crank It Cycling and other clubs in the region.
So we’ve very grateful that they’ll be offering coaching to under 18s on their custom-built training circuit at the Festival!
Simply come along on Sunday to take part!
