Cycle jumble

The Yorkshire Cycle Festival cycle jumble for 2026 at Driffield Showground will be held entirely outdoors on both Saturday (13th June) and Sunday (14th) from 9am to 7pm.

Entry for buyers is free of charge. For sellers, pitches are free of charge with camping, or at a small cost if not camping on site.

All pitches must be booked in advance – see details below.

Please note that there will be no indoor stalls available for the cycle jumble this year.

Info for buyers

Admission is free to the whole event and to the cycle jumble area but voluntary ‘bucket donations’ to the Yorkshire Cycle Festival on the day would be most welcome.

You may also wish to join our supporters’ club, the Friends of Yorkshire Cycle Festival. The event is 100% volunteer organised and we have no paid employees – your support helps sustain the event!

Info and rules for sellers

Selling at the cycle jumble is free of charge (all weekend) if you have already booked and paid for a campsite pitch on site in your name. You can book a campsite pitch securely online here until the 5th June 2026. You will need the receipt email from your campsite booking to reserve your free 6m x 6m or 6m x 12m cycle jumble pitch – please see below for details of how to reserve your pitch online.

If you are not camping on site, you will need to pay in advance for your pitch, either for a single day (£15) or for both days (£25). Larger stands are available at a small extra cost. Advance, non-refundable booking is compulsory so that we can allocate space on site. ‘Single day’ sellers will be required to clear their pitch at 7 pm each day. Please also note:

  • Parking for unloading and loading will be clearly signed and marshalled: please do not attempt to park anywhere else. 
  • There are no indoor stands available this year.
  • When you book a pitch you can specify the size you would like, in multiples of 6m x 6m pitches. If you would like a size larger than any of the options listed, we would encourage you to make a trade stand booking.
  • Tables are NOT provided and will not be available for hire at the event. Sellers are welcome to bring their own gazebo or small shelter. Please ensure it is robust and will withstand possibly windy conditions. If our Safety Officer considers any structure unsafe you will be required to remove it.
  • Please note this sale is a cycle jumble for second-hand goods only. New old stock is acceptable but if you wish to sell large amounts of new stock you need to book a trade pitch which is also free if you have paid for camping.
  • When you arrive on site, please mention to the marshals on the entrance that you are a cycle jumble seller and you will be directed to where the sale takes place. Please drive at walking pace when on the site.

    Finding your campsite booking Order ID

    When you made your campsite booking you should have received an email receipt as well as an email from PayPal confirming the transaction. The Order ID you need is on the receipt email from treasurer@yorkrally.org, not in the email from PayPal. You will see the Order ID towards the top of the order receipt email.

    If you booked your campsite pitch by post and therefore have no email receipts at all, then please just email your jumble pitch request to treasurer@yorkrally.org or write to our treasurer using the address provided here.

    Book a paid cycle jumble pitch

    Please choose the size and days you require from the drop-down menu below, then click the “Book this cycle jumble pitch” button. This will add the pitch booking to our secure shopping cart – then click ‘Checkout” to complete payment.

    Your name and contact details will be captured during the payment process, and you will receive email receipts both from us and our card payment processor, PayPal. You do not need a Paypal account to use this service.

    Please consider donating your spare bicycle parts and kit to help raise funds for the Yorkshire Cycle Rally & Festival. Tables will be set aside for donated cycling gear, which will be sold to raise funds for the event. All funds raised will go to supporting the event, and any items left unsold will be donated to cycling related charities or organisations wherever possible.

    Please bring any saleable parts and accessories, good condition clothing and even complete bikes to the Club’s Display area to be found inside the Rix Pavilion at any time during the Festival. You will find three tables set aside next to the National Clarion Cycle Club 1895 display.

    Whatever happened to the “Saddlebag Sale?

    The cycle jumble at the York Cycle Rally was for many years traditionally known as the “Saddlebag Sale”. With the advent of the Yorkshire Cycle Festival, we’ve now retired the name to help the jumble attract a new generation of buyers and sellers.
