Huge thanks to all who helped make the first Yorkshire Cycle Festival at Driffield Showground such an enjoyable event – by being there, by volunteering, or however you supported the Festival!
And the whole organising team are grateful for the kind words and feedback we’ve received both at the event and after.
Overall we were delighted with the new venue – it’s secure, with great facilities and space to grow, and we’ve had some really positive reports about the rides into the lovely Yorkshire Wolds.
And we’re already planning improvements for next year (save the date – 11-13 June – Driffield Showground is already booked!). We’ll of course be thinking hard about the site layout – both to bring as many campers as possible close to the facilities, and also to arrange displays, traders, cycle jumble and catering to best advantage. And there are also many other aspects we’ll improve – for example arrangements for late and early access when the access gates are locked, and better publicity for the talks.

Could you send us photos or videos of the Festival?
The Festival always needs good photos and videos to help promote the event, and it would be really useful to have a good selection to work with showing off the new venue, ride destinations etc. Photos with happy people in are always especially welcome!
If you are happy for us to use your photos for future publicity (credited wherever possible), please either share via a cloud storage link (e.g.Google photos) or email them to us on publicity@yorkrally.org – or if it’s more than a handful, the file size is probably a bit much for email, in which case it’s probably better to use the free file transfer service Wetransfer.
We’ve made a start with some 2026 Festival photos and videos here – it would be great if we could add yours!
Could you help with the organising?
If you’re looking for a rewarding volunteering role please do consider joining our organising team, to help shape next year’s and future events. You’d be very welcome to attend our meetings first with no commitment – these are held five or six times a year on Saturday mornings n York, but there’s always a Zoom option. We always need new organising team members as others move on and to bring new attractions to the event – a variety of roles and tasks are available. Please just drop us an email if you might be able to help make the Festival even better!
