There’s now less than three weeks to go until the first Yorkshire Cycle Festival at Driffield Showground, on the 12-14 June! Everything is looking good, and so just a few quick updates this time…
Campsite advance bookings close 5th June…
As mentioned in the last update, campsite bookings are even slightly up on last year, which is really heartening after the change to the new venue. If you haven’t yet booked your pitch, you have just two weeks to do so – advance bookings close on the 5th June. Book a pitch online until the 5th June (or book glamping here!).
You can also just turn up and pay for camping on the day – we will not run out of space, but it will be slightly more expensive, and we won’t be able to pre-allocate you a pitch alongside your friends or clubmates.
Guided rides programme released
Details of the led rides programme at the Festival are now available! We have a full schedule of 18 rides for all tastes and abilities, as well as Audax and MTB orienteering rides departing from the Festival site. Huge thanks to all of the volunteer ride leaders who make this possible.
Please note that it is not possible to register for the rides (except for the Audax rides, MTB orienteering and the Let’s Ride rides) in advance of the Festival – instead, please sign up at the event, in the Rix Pavilion, at least 30 minutes (but ideally at least an hour) before the ride departs.
See you there!
Thank you again for all of your support, do please book your camping by the 5th if you haven’t already, and we look forward to seeing everyone at Driffield in June!
Until then, tailwinds and safe cycling!
